More about the Saturn 5 Launch Pad

On the 9th November 1967, Saturn V was launched from Complex 39. Located on Merritt Island, just north of Cape Canaveral, the launch complex served as the backdrop for many of America’s most significant space flights, and is still used today. The first mission was designed to test the capabilities of Saturn V and the launch site itself.
